LeapStart not recognized by Mac OS 15+

Allow System Extensions MacOS 15+ aka ‘Sequoia’

  • Resolves “Stuck on Step 2” or "device not recognized" by Mac computer.
  • Resolves Error “The disk you attached was not readable by this computer”

 

 

  1. Unplug the LeapFrog device and close the LeapFrog Connect Application
  2. Open the Mac ‘System Settings’ and Go To ‘General’
  3. On the ‘General’ tab, select ‘Login Items & Extensions’

 

  1. Next to the LeapFrog Enterprises, Inc entry, ensure that ‘Allow in the Background’ is turned ‘on’

  1. Under the ‘Extensions’ section, click the info icon (the “i” with circle around it) next to ‘Driver Extensions’ to open the Driver Extensions dialog box.

  1. Turn ‘on’ the driver extension for ‘LeapFrog Connect 2’ by moving the slider to the right.  
  2. After authorizing the change, click ‘Done’
  3. Launch LeapFrog Connect and connect your LeapFrog device to resume installation.
