LeapFrog Connect crashing after updating to Mac 10.7 Lion

A system that has been updated to 10.7 or a new system that used the transfer feature to move files from an old Mac may have plug ins installed that no longer work under 10.7. This can cause issues for the LeapFrog Connect Application. One such plug-in that has caused many users to experience problems is Move-Media-Player.plugin.  Removing this plug-in from your computer should resolve the issue.

The User>Library folder is hidden under OS 10.7.  Use these steps to access and delete the following file:

Move-Media-Player.plugin

Please Note: This plug-in is outdated and should not be currently in use by any installed applications on your computer.

Here are the steps to locate the file:
To access the Library folder:
1. In the Finder, choose Go > Go To Folder.
2. In the Go To Folder dialog, type ‘~/Library’
3. Click Go.
4. Locate the file: Move-Media-Player.plugin
5. Delete the file, and restart your computer.
6. Open the LeapFrog Connect Application.
If you cannot find the Plugin using the above, try the below steps.
1. In the Finder, choose Go > Go To Folder.
2. In the Go To Folder dialog, type ‘Library’
3. Click Go.
4. In the search field type in ‘Plugin’
5. Locate the file: Move-Media-Player.plugin
6. Delete the file, and restart your computer.
7. Open the LeapFrog Connect Application.
