No, LeapTV has an Ethernet connector as a backup for internet access.  First turn off your LeapTV, then connect an Ethernet cord from your internet modem to the LeapTV to establish a connection to the internet.  

Note, the LeapTV does not require an internet connection in order to play games.  An internet connection is required to register the device, download and install occasional performance updates, and to download any digital content purchased online at the LeapTV App Center.
