Q: What is Quick Play?

A: Quick Play is a way to pick the games you want to play one at a time. The games are shown as locations within a sports complex.
Use the thumbstick to highlight a game. You will hear the game title announced. Press A to select that game.

 

Q: What is an Event Challenge?

A: An Event Challenge is a grouping of 4 games. A player will earn a medal for each Event Challenge based on her/his combined score for all the games.

 

Q: How do I steer the Snowboard in Snowboard Dash?

A: To steer the snowboard in Snowboard Dash, move the thumbstick from side to side.

 

Q: How do I steer the Skateboard in Skateboard Rush?

A: To steer the snowboard in Skateboard Rush, move the thumbstick from side to side.

 

Q: How do I hit the Baseball in Baseball Bash?

A: Your controller should be in pointer mode for this game. Hold your controller with two hands so the handle with the A button is near you. (Do not press any buttons.) Swing the controller like a baseball bat when the pitched ball is in the crosshair target. There are several types of pitches, keep your eye on the ball!

 

Q: How do I roll the bowling ball in Bowling Super Strike?

A: To roll the bowling ball, your controller should be in pointer mode. Hold the controller with one hand. An arrow will slide left-to-right across the lane. When the arrow is where you would like to roll the ball, quickly swing the controller underhand.

 

Q: How do I climb the ropes in Rope it Up?

A: To climb the ropes in Rope it Up, move your hands where the ropes are and the game will scroll the art.

 

Q: How do I swim in Swim to Win?

A: To swim in Swim to Win, stretch your arms to the side and move them up and down like you are swimming. The game will scroll the art.

 

Q: How do I chop the boards in Karate?

A: To chop the boards in Karate, stand in the center and move your hands to where the boards are.

 

Q: How do I lift the weights in Feats of Strength?

A: To lift the weights in Feats of Strength, move your hand on the handle keeping it within the movement rectangle on the screen.

 

Q: How do I block balls in Super Goalie?

A: To block balls in Super Goalie, move your arms or body in the way of them.

 

Q: What is the goal of Skateboard Rush?

A: The goal of Skateboard Rush is to get the highest score possible. To do this, collect as many tokens as possible, and beat the best time to get extra points.

 

Q: What is the goal of Snowboard Dash?

A: The goal of Snowboard Dash is to get the highest score possible. To do this, collect as many tokens as possible, and beat the best time to get extra points.

 

Q: What is the goal of Rope it Up?

A: The goal of Rope it Up is to get through the top and collect as many coins as possible.

 

Q: What is the goal of Swim to Win?

A: The goal of Swim to Win is to swim the farthest distance and collect as many coins as possible.

 

Q: What is the goal of Karate?

A: The goal of Karate is to chop only the correct boards. If you chop enough correct boards, you will enter Rush Mode where you can chop ALL of the boards for extra points.

 

Q: What is the goal of Super Goalie?

A: The goal of Super Goalie is to block as many shots as possible. If you block enough shots you will enter Rush Mode where you get more shots to block.

 

Q: What is the goal of Feats of Strength?

A: The goal of Feats of Strength is to earn points by completing perfect lifts.

 

Q: What is the goal of Baseball Bash?

A: The goal of Baseball Bash is to score the highest points. Points are scored by hitting balls.

 

Q: What is the goal of Bowling Super Strike?

A: The goal of Bowling Super Strike is to get the highest score possible by knocking down the most pins that you can in your rolls.

 

Q: How does the scoring work in Bowling Super Strike?

A: Bowling Super Strike is one of nine mini-games which can be played in any order on the LeapTV Sports! cartridge.  The scoring system for the bowling game was designed to balance with the other games. In bowling, points are awarded for both correct answers and pins knocked down.  The player's score is comprised of:

  • 3 points for each correct answer during the curriculum phase
  • 1 point per pin knocked down
  • 20 points for a spare
  • 30 points for a strike

Q: How do I see what Badges I've earned?

A: Badges will be listed under the Hall of Fame. Select Hall of Fame from the main menu, then select Badges.

 

Q: Why does my badge show a lock symbol?

A: If a badge shows a lock symbol, you have not earned it yet.

 

Q: How do I take a photo for my Badge?

A: To take a photo for your Badge, highlight the Badge and press A. The Badge will enlarge. Press A to take the picture. The screen will countdown from 5 and then take the photo. If you like the photo, press B to exit the photo-taking screen. If you wish to retake the photo, press A again to take a new photo. When you have the photo you like, press B to exit this screen.

 

Q: Can I retake a photo for my Badge?

A: You can retake a photo for your Badge. Just highlight the Badge and press A. The Badge will enlarge. If you want to retake the photo, press A. When you have the picture you like, press B to exit this screen.

 

Q: Are my Badge photos safe?

A: Yes. No photos are shared from the console.

 

Q: The curriculum is too easy/hard. How do I change this?

A: The games in Sports! feature Adjust to Me Learning™, which means if you answer questions correctly, the curriculum levels up. If you answer questions incorrectly, the curriculum levels down. This means, giving your child/friend the correct answer is not really helping them unless they desire a more challenging curriculum.

 

Q: What does the "?" button do?

A: The button with the question mark or "?" is the Hint button. Pressing the hint button will trigger audio that will assist you in playing the game. It may give instructions on what actions to do, it may repeat the question or give a clue to the answer. In some cases, it will trigger a LeapFrog-created tutorial.

 

Q: How to I exit a game?

A: At any time you can press the HOME button on the controller to bring up the Pause menu. From here, you can use the thumbstick to Keep Playing, Restart, Exit to the Menu, or Exit to LeapTV Home.

 

Q: How do I pause a game?

A: At any time you can press the HOME button on the controller to bring up the Pause menu. The Keep Playing button will be highlighted by default. You can either press the HOME button again or press the A button to return to playing.

 

Q: I'm making movements, but the game isn't seeing them.

A: Try increasing the light in your room. It helps to shine more light on the front of your body.
