For pointer and motion play, the pointer and motion detection is done by the LeapTV camera, not the controller or television screen.  Your child should be no more than six (6) feet from the camera for motion or pointer play.

For classic

controller play, a Bluetooth connection between the controller and console is used.  To maintain a strong signal, be sure to keep the controller within 4-8 feet and ensure there is a clear line of sight from the controller to the LeapTV console.
